Content Warning: agoraphobia, murder, blood, vomit, anxiety, on-page description of anxiety attack, hospitalization, attempted murder, closed door sex, classism, death of a parent (mentioned), car crash, pet injury
This was pretty good in terms of a good mystery and depiction of anxiety and agoraphobia, but there was like some glaring issues I had with the main character overall that really made this not as good as I would have liked it to be.
I thought that Evelyn was well described in her mental illnesses, but was so aloof and out of touch with everything else that I just couldn't take her seriously. I was really disappointed with the characterization of her and the way she saw the world - it was so black and white that I couldn't help it.
I did like the mystery aspect and the setting of the hotel. I liked the cast of characters and how they all worked together, but just didn't feel the same type of connection to them because of the lens that Evelyn saw them through.
Not a huge fan of this one overall!
