If Prisoners of Geography gave me insight into countries and land masses far from my own home, Divided gave me more insights into the UK and Europe than all the journalism I’ve read in the last two years combined.

This was very painful to finish. The book tries to cover major world conflict zones in just 280 pages, resulting in rather shallow descriptions, none of the problems are covered in detail. If you read newspapers or watch news on a regular basis, then I don't recommend buying this book, it's a waste of money. However in case you would like a quick and brief overview of the current global political situation, this is the thing to read. And that's basically my second my reprimand - this book will become outdated very quickly.
