Tirando a parte em que nos identificamos com a questão pandemia/quarentena, nada é surpreendente. É apenas um relato frio (sublinho a palavra relato) de um surto de peste, onde a emoção é rara, praticamente inexistente. Não é um mau livro, até porque tem relevância histórica, principalmente no momento em que vivemos, porém, é uma seca. Não me diverti, só reflecti mais um pouco sobre tudo aquilo que já tinha discutido em conversas privadas.

It just didn't really do it for me. There were some really good parts, but overall it was kind of repetitive, and I was unable to connect or care about any of the characters. Would reluctantly recommend.
