I feel ashamed of not know about this massacre. This was a really hard graphic novel to read. But it was so so important to read. I wish people talk about this just as much as they talk about March because it is important.

Going into this graphic novel, I hadn't known about this historical event. After reading it, I was at a loss for words. This graphic novel does a great job at keeping pace with the events, it's a pretty fast paced book, and at times I was feeling swept up in it. But the actual event itself only spanned the course of 4 days, and so much occurred. This use of pacing seems to serve as a way to make the reader feel just as swept up in the events as if they were happening before them-- since so much was unfolding and changing every moment. The illustrations were really good as well, and perfectly encapsulate each character's emotions in each frame.
