This is a compilation of daily comic strips from Garfield in the paper, some Sunday's and all the other days the funny pages came out.

My nephew and his mom picked some of these books up at thrift stores around town and both of the kids love them. I used to read these as a kid. I used to read the funny pages to see Garfield every day. I don't remember which ones I read as a kid.

Well, today, I was watching my nephew and he can be a big reader. He is reading all kinds of stuff. He'll get quiet and read and I love that. Today, was his last day of school and after lunch he sat down and was reading Garfield Hams it up, so I picked up 'Garfield by the pound' and read this with him. It was fun to remember Garfield and read something so cute. It was fun to read with my nephew. It took me back to my childhood. I might read some more with my nephew this summer.

I think that is a great social time, getting together, reading side by side. That has become my speed. My nephew is funny, anytime he reads a funny part, he has to read it too me. I love it.

Anyway, Garfield loves to eat. That's what this is about.
