This feels like a second part to Control Unleashed, and it’s going on my reactive dog rec list immediately. It really addresses two issues (people at the door, and yelling at strange people/dogs) with one complete plan and part of a second (matwork and LAT), but it’s so THOROUGH. It’s so COMPLETE. It’s amazing. Unfortunately Hazard’s mat is currently in a shipping container but when I get it back we’ll be working on this.

This book was helpful. I won't know for sure how helpful until I get a little further along in my training with my dog, but I am hopeful. The instructions were easy to follow and my dog is responding. I like this method because it only uses positive reinforcement and gradual desensitization.

I like this book a lot. To sum it up, it discusses a relaxation protocol that uses matwork, rewarding the dog for staying calm. It also breaks it down in very simple steps for first-timers. It's a very simple read. It also dispels many myths I keep hearing and discusses medication briefly.
