Most character actions don't make any logical sense and are not linked to discernable motivations. I was pulled out every other page by the implausiblility of the scenarios and conversations. The author's poor understanding of technology in 1997 is only a small part of the problem with this book.

Clearly a freshman outing.  the racism, the sexism, and the rambling plot were troublesome. Honestly, I’m glad I’m done.

Interesting story, fast paced, suspense with an interesting twist. At some points also quite predictable. The male gaze is incredibly strong on this one, which made it uncomfortable to read at some points.
