Loved DEATH- the character. He might be one of the best characters I've ever read. The dialogue had me laughing out loud. Imagine death was your boss and you wanted time off:

"BUT WHY? said Death. IT CAN'T BE TO ATTEND YOUR GRANDMOTHER's FUNERAL, he added. I WOULD KNOW."

Mort was such a fun introduction to Discworld for me.

OMG THE ENDING WAS SO GOOD.
I laughed, I cried, I got shivers, existential dread and some philosophy questions to answer when alone in a dark room.
