I knew what was coming. Sort of. I mean . But it still hurt anyway. No matter what, I'll always ship RenxCalla, and there's no force in the world that can change my mind otherwise (looks like [b:Blood and Chocolate|30324|Blood and Chocolate|Annette Curtis Klause|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1388637151s/30324.jpg|895781] really did a number on me :)
The epilogue was definitely a cutie! A +1 to an otherwise very saddening (for me) novel! Haha, not all books/series can close in such a beautiful way!
Battle scenes, as always, spectacular! Love the international traveling bits, and the casualties are...well, I love how this novel in particular mentions a lot of the dead, because it's different! It's a very unique aspect of this book that really distinguishes it from other books, because it's literally war! A lot of people are going to die, at least half are going to be people who are close to the protagonist, exactly like how it is in this book! Amazing!

Look all I have to say is that I am PISSED at how the book ended. That’s all I’m going to say. They did Ren so dirty... I’m just... I can’t express my anger at how everything concluded in this book.

I'm so angry with this series, it had so much potential. The first one was only okay, but I read the second one in case, but it got worse. I forced myself through this one, because I need to know the endings of series, but this is the worse YA series I have ever read.
"There’s saving Ren, even if it incurs Shay’s wrath." What Calla and Shay have is not a romance. It's basically borderline abuse, to the point where Shay would rather have a person DIE than Calla save him and then have to deal with the possibility of Calla choosing Ren over him. He's immature, bland and selfish and I really hated him throughout this whole book.
The 'war' that all these creatures had been trained for lasted like 40 minutes? And the fact that she killed Ren of just so Calla and Shay could be together without any complications was pathetic and an easy way out. Everything about this book was pathetic.

Calla overtuigt Ren om mee te gaan vechten tegen de Hoeders. Calla twijfelt nogal tussen Ren en Shay, ze vindt ze allebei leuk. Maar dan is eindelijk de nacht aangebroken dat ze moeten vechten. Shay en Ren hebben constant ruzie, maar worden daarna ook wel goede vrienden.
Dit derde deel viel me een beetje tegen, ik vond het echt verschikkelijk, ik heb echt gewoon zitten huilen omdat het zo zielig was. Met de keuze die Calla heeft gemaakt, was ik het niet mee eens. Dit boek is helemaal verkeerd afgelopen en dat verpest voor mij een beetje dit hele laatste boek, terwijl de eerste delen echt geweldig waren. In de laatste 20 blz, hoopte ik dat er nog iets gebeuren, dat er een wonder ging gebeuren. Maar nee dit was niet het geval, heel erg jammer. Dit boek heb ik beoordeeld met 3 van de 5 sterren.

Unfortunately, I didn't like this book. I felt this book completely destroyed what had been built in the first two books. Throughout the book, I could sense the book heading in the direction that it did, and it made me very wary. I really, REALLY hated the ending of this book, and thus the trilogy. To me it felt like the easy way out and I think there were lots of things that could have been done instead. I also felt like the ending was very rushed after having such good build up in the previous book and the first half of this one. I'm really sad to say that the ending of this book ruined the entire trilogy for me :(

I really enjoyed the Nightshade-triology, great characters (I loved Ren, Connor and Ethan!), great world-building, awesome plot-twists and a perfect ending!

I'm not happy with the book, not happy at all, especially the ending.
Shay tdk dilahirkan sebagai Serigala, dia diubah oleh Calla. Selain itu, Shay adalah "the scion". Ren adlh pasangan alpha yg memang ditakdirkan untuk Calla.
Seandainya saja endingnya begini:
Ren gk mati, saat Shay (the scion) menyegel Rift, Ren & Calla jd 2 alpha yg memimpin kawanan spt yg selalu ditakdirkan untuk mereka dari mereka dilahirkan & Shay akan tetap menjadi manusia, "the scion" & reuni dgn kedua orang tuanya. Everybody happy, including the readers.

The day Bloodrose was released was a great day for me. I had been waiting nearly a year and couldn't wait to get home and start reading it! Of course once I had started I wasn't stopping until I got to the end. It was such a thrilling story just as the other two had been and I was completely captivated the whole way through. I would recommend this series for anyone who likes fantasy, or to those like me who just want a change in genre. It was so worth reading and can't wait to start reading the series over again!
