I enjoyed watching minka on Friday Night lights, so it was fascinating to learn more about her. I had no idea that her childhood was so tumultuous. This was not an easy book to listen to, but I definitely felt it was worth it. Minka does an excellent job at excavating her past and presenting it in a coherent and emotional manner. This was so much more than just a timeline of her childhood trauma, it was also clearly a journey of healing. I am a very nosy person and I enjoy getting to learn the inner workings of other people. This book was a fascinating and eye-opening read.

If you're looking for FNL fluff and stories about actors, this is not it. Minka's story truly blew me away and I admire how raw and honest she was. Her childhood was nothing I expected to hear about and I am so proud of her resilience. Bravo!

This memoir is deeply emotional and moving. Minka is very open and vulnerable when sharing her childhood and early adulthood traumas. I do wish readers were able to get more insight about her time on Friday Night Lights. I recommend this book for fans of I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy.
