Page turner! I want more!
Love this book. I am not a big reader and always looking for books that I enjoy and don't feel like work. I read when it first came out and now just reread 8 years later. Cole and Claire's journey is unpredictable and beautiful!

Add this one to my very small dnf list.
I got 30% in before I just couldn't. The main character is whiny and dwells too much on silly things. She calls herself old at thirty-one, constantly compares herself to other women (because everyone is competition), is immature and petty, on and on. That whole " How dare some other woman be more attractive than me in the vicinity of my boy toy, I hate her!" mindset is so ridiculous and harmful.
Besides throwing herself pity parties and constantly telling her love interest that she is not attractive, fishing for compliments, she intentionally blows things out of proportion and has dramatic fits in his place of business. Super mature.
Not to mention the usual "one conversation between adults could solve all these problems" plot that is so overused and says little about not only the writing itself but the lack of real story. I won't even get into the overuse of useless action paragraphs, like opening doors, brushing teeth, dressing and undressing, etc.
I tried, I really did, but I can't get into this one.

Didn't care for the insta-love especially because they didn't trust each other. Stopped reading after the parents were introduced.

Received a copy via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
As someone who has always been a sucker for a good Western movie, I was pretty excited to read a romance/erotica novel about a cowboy out in Colorado. I mean, really excited. So I was a bit disappointed when I got halfway through this novel and realized the more drama occurred in 220 pages than it does in entire seasons of shows or hours of movies.
Spoiler Alert:
Break in Two was overly dramatic and in the worst kind of way – predictably dramatic. Everything that happened to her has happened to countless other female romance novel leads, and putting a bunch of cliches together in rapid succession does not make them any more interesting. The drama is so overdone that it felt impossible to connect to the characters.
Another thing that made me uncomfortable was the attempted sexual assault as a plot device. Claire is walking home when a man attempts to rape her; Cole saves her; they are making passionate love within the next 48 hours. Using the threat of rape as a way for Cole to demonstrate his protectiveness of Claire was not a turn on – it made me seriously uncomfortable and made their following sex scene feel weird and out of place. I can’t say I’ve ever heard of someone facing the threat of sexual assault and then jumping into bed with someone less than two days later. The novel could have survived without it, and using sexual assault as a way of bringing two people together romantically – especially if sexual assault is not the topic of the novel – felt insensitive and sloppy.
The one saving grace about this novel had to be the humor. Despite the fact that I did not connect to Claire or Cole (or to their relationship in general), their bantering was always fun and light. Some of it was completely ridiculous, but there was still humor in all of that ridiculousness.
If you are looking for something light – something with very little concrete plot, character development, or serious themes – than Break in Two is absolutely the book I would recommend. If you are looking for a gratuitous amount of sex and little of anything else, again, Break in Two is for you. But if you are wanting a little something more from your romance/erotica craving, I would look elsewhere.

Within the first 50% of Break in Two, Claire moves away from a cheating boyfriend, falls into instalove with her boss, is almost sexually assaulted, rages in a fit of jealousy over some volleyball players, faces a cheating scare, deals with the return of her ex-boyfriend out for her money, gets into a car accident, has her boyfriend’s parents see them getting hot and heavy by his truck, and falls off a horse in the middle of a storm. Also, he talks about marrying her, even though they have only known each other for a few months. Oh, and the second part of the book is his ex-girlfriend coming back wielding a baby and the claim that he is the father.Break in Two was overly dramatic and in the worst kind of way – predictably dramatic. I give it 3.5 stars. The second part of the book was better even though it was predictable. It's a cute romance to read without too much thinking. It got an extra .5 because it managed to get me to tear up a little. :)

When I started this book, I flew through the first 20% very quickly. Then, I started wondering what the point of it was. It felt disconnected and loose after awhile. It would've been pretty good, if a lot of the content was cut out. It just went on and on and on. I became incredibly annoyed, bored with the NUMEROUS sex scenes and skipped over them. Like, really? If I have to read about her swollen pu**y one more time, I was going to scream. By the end, I felt like "ok, come on... wrap stuff up" but it kept going on. It was pretty frustrating and I'm glad it's over.

I read my first MJ Summers book a view years back. It was the second book in the Full Hearts series and I really enjoyed it. So when I saw the first book in the Full Hearts series ‘Break In Two’ standing on my bookshelves, I knew it was time to start reading this book.
‘Break In Two’ is the story of Claire Hatley and sexy cowboy Cole Mitchell. Claire has took on a new job of chef at Cole’s ranch after her relationship comes to an abrupt end. After driving for many hours, she finally arrives at the ranch near Colorado Springs. This job is just the perfect escape for Claire. When Claire meets Cole one thing is sure: Cole is very handsome. And soon Claire and Cole are inseparable.
I must admit I had some high expectations about this book. I just finished a great five star read, and I really enjoyed the second book in this series ‘Breaking Love’. The first thing that really stood out to me about this read, is that the writing was very descriptive. And because of that it didn’t really read as easy as I would have liked. The other thing was the main character Claire. She was just not my kind of character. She ran away from her ex after he cheated on her probably several times, and she had no trouble whatsoever about getting it on with Cole. I just didn’t get that.
I also missed the chemistry between Claire and Cole in this book. Everything went so fast that I just didn’t have the time to really start loving these characters. They just went from strangers, to lovers in no time whatsoever, and I didn’t really like that. Especially since they were boss and employer. It just didn’t really sound believable to me.
What I did love about this book was the setting on the Colorado Ranch. I just pictured it in my head as a beautiful, country, cowboy filled ranch and I loved that idea. I love cowboy stories, and the fact that Cole was a cowboy definitely made this read better for me. I just wished things moved a little slower in this book, so I could really get to know the characters.
Unfortunately this book just wasn’t for me.

Copy received from netgalley in exchange of an honest review.
Nice story and settings...Heartbroken chef Clair meets another heartbroken cowboy Cole who is her boss for the new job - expected plot but still I enjoyed it and it was one of those hard-to-put-down type of stories.
The entire reason I requested this in the first place is beautiful cover. Simple yet elegant is what I like....entire star for the cover and kudos to artist. Most of the people don't talk about cover but I think it is important part of the book and accept it, it attract/repulse you, specially for new authors whose stories you haven't read before. Enough about covers now....lets take of the cover from the story :)
Whenever I pick a book, I generally go through its ratings on goodreads to make sure it is not waste of time kind of thing. I have seen some negative remarks but still got on with this and I am okay making that decision.
This is grown-up story and that is the reason I liked it. Some people were really criticising Cole for not making correct decision when his so-called x-lover and baby boy show up but that is the life, sometimes obvious decisions are hard to make decisions and it is easy to see that as third person but not at all easy when you are into it.
Also there was something about too much sex in reviews --- caution it isn't too much sex...okay before you judge me, hear me out....
There wasn't too much of sex but too much of detailed description of the entire thing it was excruciating. Somethings are better left to imaginations....To be honest I also skimmed through all those loooong love making scenes so there!
Also sometimes Cole was so considerate it seems like he is a lady than man. Don't get me wrong, I like Cole, it's just I haven't seen any men like that in actual life :D
I admit I was watching 'Ugly Truth' movie while reading this so it doesn't set in my mind that well but hey, I liked Cole :)
Why it is hard to put down? -- It is realistic...characters are not perfect, they are no flawless and that's what I like - Everyone is rough around edges but what that makes us, us. enough philosophy :)
Read it, Enjoy it and live it while reading it.....
