I honestly thought I would like this more than I did.. this is the second series from this author that I have read and the last one was incredible but this one just didn’t do it for me..

To start off, there were some really good parts! Like where Ehva was so innocent that she refused to believe that her boyfriend was cheating on her.. and how Salvi was so intimidating yet so alluring that he captivated her right from the start.. They played the Angel and Devil very well.

I do feel like every comparison about Heaven/Hell, Angel/Devil and Good/Evil was used in this book. There was too much internal dialogue about it that it got annoying to read. Like the same thing was being said over and over just in different ways. There wasn’t much of a build up to the ending either.. like.. I kinda expected Salvi to do something like he did because he is just that type.. but I didn’t expect Ehva to be sooo weak at the end.. and I’m taking the very end, not her reaction to what he did to her..

I will read book 2 but I’m not hoping for much.

My love/hate relationship with Salvi Moretti is still going strong with this exceptional vengeful story. Ms. Khan has surprised me once again as she chewed up my hopes and vomited all over my feelings.

Ehva Rossi is a good moral Catholic girl who believes there is good in everyone... even Don Salvi Moretti. The blue-eyed Devil who has challenged her beliefs and morals to the point of falling for his beautiful smile and his intense pursuit of her.

Salvi Moretti is a man of blinding smiles and psychopathic tendencies. He's a man on a mission. To make Ehva Rossi his, to break her, to make her lose herself in a Devil's lair of sin.  His plan is working and he will have his vengeance soon, but at what cost?

Khan's writing is superb as the chemistry between Ehva and Salvi explodes into a fiery battle of wills and a surrender that neither of them expects. Ehva's family has betrayed her and she has been left alone with a man who is a murderer. My heart breaks for her ultimate downfall into despair and loneliness. Salvi's slow seduction of dangerous smiles and sinful obsession is sexy as hell, and one hopes like Ehva that he has good intentions, but as her light brightens, his dims. She has crawled under his skin, but nothing is what it seems. Can all be redeemed? Unfortunately, I will have to wait until book 2.

From the sexy and powerful piano scene to the emotionally charged wedding scene, this story will torment me until I find out how it all ends in The Fallen Angel. I want vengeance. I want redemption. I want a happily ever after. I want to know more about Salvi's brother, Romeo.

If you love extremely dark romances with tortured, unpredictable characters and twists and turns galore, give this book a try. I highly recommend you read the Beauty and the Beast series beginning with [b:A Beauty So Cruel|56083301|A Beauty So Cruel (Beauty & The Beast, #1)|Beena Khan|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1606656758l/56083301._SY75_.jpg|87355738] which explains Salvi's, Vlad's, and Dahlia's past.

Thank you to Ms. Khan for once again giving me the opportunity to read this book with no expectation of a positive review.

Once again I was persuaded to read a book by a 30 second tiktok video that seemed entertaining. Do I regret it? Eh, sort of. The plot wasn’t all that bad but it was the way it was written. It was straight out of an episode of ‘YOU’ on Netflix. Major Joe Goldberg vibes.

-Italian mafia
-Lucifer and Eve retelling
-Age gap

I was excited to see Salvi get his own story. I’ve loved his character since A beauty so cruel.

Ehva is a sweet innocent lawyer and Salvi is a don of one of the 5 families. They’re story is very much opposites attract. Good VS Evil, Angel VS Devil. Ehva is not treated well by most of the people in her inner circle and at times can be seen as naive. After Ehvas BF loses her in a bet of poker, she finds herself wrapped up the dark twisted world of Salvis. The story focuses on trying to trust someone out of your comfort zone after being mistreated most of your life. I was not expecting the cliffhanger and honestly a little scared for the next book.

The Blue-Eyed Devil by Beena Khan is a modern day Lucifer and Eve Dark Mafia Romance. This is the first book in the Devil's Lair series.

This is the first book of Beena's that I have read and it won't be my last. In took me a while into get into the story, but I am glad I pushed through because I was hooked by the end.

The relationship between Ehva and Salvi is messed up but the dark side of brain can't help but root for them. I loved that we got both of their points of view throughout the story. It really brought the story to life.

The book ends on an amazing cliffhanger that left me begging for more! I can't wait for the next book in the series The Fallen Angel to be released on December 7, 2021.

I would recommend this book if you like modern day retellings, dark romances, mafia romances, or billionaire romances.

What a surprise. I’ve found another new author! The writing is great. The drama, suspense and plot twists keep You moving through this book at break neck pace.

This is Salvi Moretti's story, first introduced in "A Beauty So Cruel" and (yes I was one of those people that begged for Salvi to get his own story) and Ehva Rossi(it is next to impossible to explain who she is without giving the whole story away). While it is possible to read Salvi story with out reading "A Beauty So Cruel" and "A Beast So Cold" but I would recommend it because all of Salvi's motivation comes from that story. I loved that Salvi is still so beautifully unhinged and I that he is a man of his word. I am not a fan Ehva, for a person that has basically lived her teenager years on her own and that is also a lawyer it is crazy how naïve she is. I wished she had more spunk like Dahlia. I also wish that the characters that showed up from "A Beast So Cold" did more than just give a half hearted speech and leave. I would recommend to anyone that loves a good mafia, twisted "love" story. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
