15 yes age gap: F20 + M35.
In the Underworld Kings series, Jenika delivers again with a mafia romance.
In this book, Claudia is the Costa Nostra's daughter. When her father gets killed, her brother takes over and tries to stop her from getting the traditional arranged marriage.
As a form of escapism, she forms one-sided penpal relationships with the least likely individual, her husband's brother Dmitry. Why, because she got infatuated by him when he stopped her father from slapping her at the age of fifteen.
One day, Dmitry is arrested and is thrown to prison for three+ years. That is where her letters arrived. Once a year. At first, he got creeped out and cringed whenever she sent him letter. But when she turns eighteen and sends him a scandalous pic, he is entranced.
So upon his release, he is determined to pursue her by all the dark fantasy he has been creating and makes sure no one touches what now belongs to him.
Claudia has a strong persona but sometimes, I got second embarrassment from her.
Dmitry; Snow knows how to write her dark men. Dark, mysterious, protective of their women and possessive. And bunch load of money. The only thing I don’t like is that he gets so obsessed with Claudia when she sends him that sexy pic..(I know better now then before, but it rubs me the wrong way…. The age gap in this is probably an ick…)
Plot wise, it wasn’t much. Didn’t stick out to me. The beginning took a hard time to pick up because of the past events…
