Honestly tried so hard to finish this but just couldn’t. Ended up googling how it ends. I’ve liked other Cusk books just bit this one.

I'm a big fan of the Outline trilogy; based on those I wasn't expecting a modern day farce written in the exacting and prolix style of an eighteenth century novel. Probably entertaining if you're a fan of comedies of errors and pratfalls and the like but I found it hard to care enough about the characters or what happened to them.
