Con immenso dispiacere, questo libro mi ha delusa. Avevo altissime aspettative, e invece gli do solo 3 stelle.
Per la prima metà del libro, o anche meno, era piacevol, scrittura scorrevole, moderna e assolutamente non pesante per essere un classico.
Poi la discesa, data dall'incontro con Rochester, un uomo INSOPPORTABILE, che tira fuori il peggio di Jane, che era prima così libera e indipendente, diventa finta ed INSOSTENIBILE.
Immagino che comunque sia stata un'opera rivoluzionaria per i tempi.

A classic for a reason, this tale of a young lady put in some fascinating situations is unique. One of the most well-drawn characters of all time, she makes choices far different than many women of her time would have. Brilliant.
