Trigger warnings: sky diving accident, hospitalisation, medical procedures, suicidal ideation, ableism, medical trauma, horrifyingly invasive medical procedures, poop, mentions of amputation.
I absolutely flew through this and I'm really glad I chose to listen to the audiobook, which is read by Carey. Something about having her read her own story really worked for me, and I think I found it more compelling than I may have if I'd just read the print edition.
It's definitely a fascinating story, and I'm honestly in awe that she survived not only her fall but everything else she's been through in the subsequent years with her optimistic attitude intact. It's never easy to review memoirs, and there were definitely times when this felt a little too much like a motivational speech - a little TOO influencer-esque. But Carey has more optimism and positivity in her pinkie finger than I have in my entire body, so please take my thoughts with a grain of salt.

Inspiring but repetitive, took me a while to finish it. Some good takeaways from it though - such as being grateful for what we do have (health, happiness, freedom, etc) rather than always focusing on what we wish we had.
