Decent but a slow immersion start
This took me bit to get into, it wasn't until the history lesson midway through that I got involved in the story. Part of the issue was not knowing enough of the stakes, setting, or characters. Things like how different are the felines from humans? They live hundreds of years, have magic, are they all the same race/ethnicity, and are the glowing eyes real or artistic flourish? Some more character dialog would have also helped learn the personalities of the protagonists.
