Great way to introduce younger readers to RBG.

I love any chance to learn about the legendary RBG and this book was no exception. I enjoyed the trip down constitutional law lane as well. I just wish it had been structured differently and more coherently, the chapters jumped around a bit.

Not 100% linear and not exactly groundbreaking; but still a wonderful introduction to Ruth Bader Ginsburg's life and work. Not only does it highlight RBG's work as a supreme court judge, but it also paints a broad picture of all the landmark cases that she worked on as a lawyer for the ACLU , as a law professor, and as US Court of Appeals judge. This book's primary audience will be tweens and teens, but could also get reluctant adult readers a good overview. Filled with pictures, court cases, and law terms; this book could really get a kid jazzed about how crucial the law can be. Peppered throughout the book is a bit about RBG's personal life; her kids, wonderful husband, and the unconventional family unit they had as a young family. A good intro on the wonderful things that Ginsburg has accomplished for the betterment of this country that will get any reader pumped up to read more.

A little too short to my taste for a biography about one of history’s most important figures but this is meant for a middle-school reader level. The chapters were confusing as they went between actual cases RBG heard and her personal life without a clear transition. Good for those who are just starting to learn about her but insufficient for those who have extensive knowledge of her.

I love that this is an RBG book for younger readers. The content is good but I didn’t like the organization. It was interesting hearing about cases and how she impacted high school students.

CBC Book 1-Good for young adults. Not really about dissenting but focused largely on women’s rights.
Not really for a college level book selection. (3 stars for CCBC CBC purposes).

I wanted to love this, but it was just rather boring. It is very well researched and informative, but it's not exactly narrative nonfiction, and informational nonfiction is just not my jam. It was like reading a really long research paper about a super interesting and important person. I loved the information, but the format just wasn't my favorite.
