I really didn't like the first half, I was afraid I stumbled into another poetic dark book which I'm learning at this point in my life I don't like but the second half was a lot better. The sisters are super interesting. Magic I cool. People using magic as drugs was a nice concept.
Solid book just not my favorite

The author comes from a line of artists. It shows in the way she describes the fantastic world, like vivid visual poetry in my head that made me mad every time i had to go back to looking to my ugly walls.

I enjoyed this one. The romance did feel a bit rushed and out of nowhere. Obviously, it was the main drive of the story, but it didn't feel developed enough to end with a marriage proposal.
The worldbuilding was fun and I really enjoyed the author's writing style. I personally felt that the place of the Thief Kingdom felt a bit ambiguous within the wider world, and we didn't get enough time to develop the role of the Mousai (do the citizens know they're the daughters of the Thief King? I don't think so but its unclear). I'm hoping this comes in the next couple of books.
Angry pirate is next, which I for one am looking forward to.

Love love love.
I loved the way music was used in this book. Also the names of all the characters. Definotely recommend for those who like fantasy, magic, thieves, family, and banter between love-interests

I loved the book. From start to finish. I couldn’t put it down. The world building was good. The magic was even better. My heart hurt for Darius but in the end he got his happily ever after in the sweetest way possible. The characters were also very sweet. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.
