This was hella cute as well as powerful and layered. Have enjoyed every single one of Julian Winters’ books and I look forward to whatever he writes next.

IF you enjoy lgbqia+ stories, then you will more than likely enjoy this ya story. It showcases a lot of what younger people are dealing with when trying to find themselves and navigating the dating world. I especially enjoyed the main character, Theo's growth and how he changed from the start of the story until the end. This is the first book I've read by this author, and I promise you it won't be my last. And I don't really remember the breakfast club nor have I seen the other movie, but I still enjoyed this read.

I absolutely loved this book. I was given this book to read early and I’m so glad I got the chance. There was a lot here that meant a lot to me and I know would mean a lot to other people.
This deals with friendships and what they really mean to us. As someone who’s always had problems with maintaining friendships and understanding my boundaries with others, there were a lot of parts in this that were very eye opening to me.
There is a lot to be said here about being your best and having true and genuine connections in the world. The friends you have with you all your life might not be the ones who actually know the real you and care about you completely and truthfully and the ones you meet along the way might be the best friends you’ve ever had.
There’s also a great message about rumors and how they effect others around us. People ignore it and continue to hurt innocent people and there is an unfortunate victim in it all. This book does an amazing job at showing this and showing how this can ruin lives.
I loved the mix-match party friend group. Everyone was adorable and a disaster and I loved them so much. River was so cute and I wanted to hug them so tightly through all their pain and anxiety. Everyone there was just someone I know could use a good hug and shoulder to cry one/someone to listen to, which is what they got in the end.
The ending of this had me in tears. Like I knew what was going to happen but it was so cute I couldn’t handle it. I want to read more of Julian’s books cause this was just an amazing sprinkle of adorable.
