literally speechless after this.. such amazing and rich world building and fictional cultures and religions and the CHARACTERS and their struggles and motivations were so fascinating. the conversations about right and wrong in regards to the ends justifying the means are so interesting and explored so naturally throughout our vibrant cast of characters. all builds to such a fantastic climax and ending that is leaving me literally tweaking for the next book right. now.
the ending literally gagged me 15 different times like WHAT! so excited for my favs to be meeting and in the same places... and im so excited for everyones new arcs Especially Dalinar because he was my least favorite perspective in this whole book sorry! still loved him but his internal struggle didnt really grip me as much as Shallan and Kaladin, but i love him being a hardass about following the codes now i love it sm ugh.

I don't read a lot of "epic fantasy," so I was pretty intimidated by this one. As always, I am reminded that you can always trust in Sanderson.

The magic was (again, as always with Sanderson) cool. Excited to learn more about how it works since the exposure to it seemed so narrow in this book compared to something like Mistborn.

There were so many great characters. I love the way everyone was built up, and the hints at payoffs we got to see in book 1. I can't wait to see where things go as perspectives continue to collide in book 2!

i knew i was gonna love it but i didn't know i'd love it this much. it's the perfect epic high fantasy for me (although i haven't read much). i love the characters and the world and the magic system. everything just works for me. this is written for me and me only.

this is so brilliant. idk how people can say it's boring, get some taste or something lol.
