Can't believe I about gave up on this series after The Daylight War. The Skull Throne and The Core were both amazing and I'm glad I finished it!

I found this really hard to read after loving book #4. Honestly after 5 books, I was super bored of reading demon fight scenes. He tried to build up story lines if newer characters (hence 800 pages) instead if just wrapping up. I sensed that there was a side-quest book that he picked up the story line of, which I was not invested in at all. I had it set myself daily reading goals to get through the last 300 pages. A lot felt like a it was being used as a lat chance to cram in as many ideas and element if worldbuilding he hadn't done in the previous 4 books. The last scenes were thankfully satisfying enough. but I was hoping for some cooler twist than the ending one we were given.

Was this the end of the Demon Cycle series? I want a bit more.

Final book in series. Good not great. Maybe it had been too long since I had read book 4. Certain characters I wasn't super familiar with so didn't really care about. Still great series in all and now that it is complete easier to recommend.

The ending ended me a little. Still a little rapey for me, and I need to know more about certain tribes fates.

Good read. Some of the fight scenes were exhausting, though I understand it's impossible not to have combat scenes in this type of novel. The ending was quite something.

This was definitely my favorite book of the series. Strong ending for sure! I'm glad I stuck with the series even though there was a reoccurring aspect that was really off putting to me. It was worth getting through those moments for this story and the characters!
