I have never read this author before and bought it on amazon as a whim on a day when I had nothing to read. I was so surprised that I couldn't stop reading, I cried, I laughed and I fell in love with the characters. This book was an amazing romance and is now on my list of favorites, enjoy you won't be disappointed.

After reading all the reviews about this being steamy. I must say that I am very disappointed. The sex scenes were too quick for me to get steamy or hot. And the ending of this book was too quick. So no, 2,5 stars for me and that only because I could feel the emotions in the MC’s about the feud that was keeping them apart.

Nice but really fast because it focuses more on the erotica than the romance. But I liked the author's style of writing and the characters even though I would have liked a more detailed ending.
Cheyenne Blues „Never-Tied Nora“ ist eine wirklich unterhaltsame Novelle, ein schneller Lesespaß, bei dem der Fokus eher auf der Erotik denn auf der Romantik liegt – trotzdem fand sogar ich die Geschichte sehr angenehm zu lesen, die Erotik nimmt also nicht überhand, es ist keine reine Erotikgeschichte und vor allem ist das Ganze in eine ganz nette Rahmenhandlung eingebettet.
So ist die titelgebende Never-Tied Nora Kelley, eine junge Frau mit irischen Wurzeln, niemand, der vorhat sich in nächster Zeit niederzulassen und eine Familie zu gründen. Von Bindungen und Beziehungen hält sie nicht viel und hat so lieber einen One-Night-Stand nach dem anderen. Bei Geraldine Flannery sieht das ganz ähnlich aus, auch sie hat irische Wurzeln und ist definitiv der love’em, leave’em Typ.
Doch als Nora Ger in einer Bar sieht, weiß sie: Diese Frau will sie heiraten. Offenbar geht es Ger ganz ähnlich, denn schnell entspannt sich eine leidenschaftliche Romanze zwischen den beiden Frauen. Nur ein kleines Problem gibt es, denn zwischen den Kelleys und Flannerys schwelt seit Jahrzehnten, seit die Familien von Irland nach London gekommen sind, eine Fehde. Und als die beiden Frauen endlich merken, wen sie da eigentlich daten, rückt die erträumte Hochzeit plötzlich in weite Ferne.
Cheyenne Blues Schreibstil konnte mich direkt in den Bann dieser Romeo und Julia artigen Geschichte ziehen, denn er ist wirklich sehr angenehm zu lesen, flüssig und spannend und die Autorin setzt damit auch ihre Charaktere von Anfang an gut in Szene. So ist es ein leichtes sich trotz der Instantromanze auf die Figuren einzulassen und auch die Nebenfiguren, allen voran Noras beste Freundin, die Australierin Sue, und ihre Familie, sind sehr gut ausgearbeitet und waren mir schnell sympathisch. Die Geschichte selbst richtet lehnt wie schon gesagt eher Richtung Erotik denn Romanze, hat aber auch einen eindeutig Fokus auf der ganzen Fehde-Sache, die einem zwischendurch zwar durchaus mal völlig unrealistisch und kindisch erscheint, dann aber wieder so überzeugend dargestellt wird, dass man sie der Autorin ohne weiteres abkauft.
Alles in allem konnte mich Cheyenne Blue mit „Never-Tied Nora“ trotz einiger kleinerer Schwächen (die so ziemlich nicht vorhandene Beziehungsentwicklung und die teilweise etwas überzogen wirkende Fehde) doch ziemlich überzeugen, eine dicke Empfehlung daher für alle, die mit solchen erotisch angehauchten Novellen etwas anfangen können. Ich bin definitiv gespannt auf weitere Bände der „Girl Meets Girl Series“ – irgendwie war ich der Meinung irgendwo gelesen zu haben, dass Noras Freundin Sue im zweiten Teil die Hauptrolle spielt, aber da ich dazu absolut nichts mehr finde, könnte das auch eine Halluzination gewesen sein.

A good book that's an easy read. It's really short and finished it in 1 day. The main characters, Nora and Ger, are likeable. The side characters are too. Not normally a fan of insta-love, but Nora did not really believe in it too until she saw Ger. I know she's a fictional character, but my point is, the insta-love aspect is acknowledged in the book itself. The ending is predictable, but again, short book. Not much room to draw things out. Have the 2nd book in the series, focusing on Sue, and will definitely read that soon.

Re-reading Cheyenne Blue's "Never-Tied Nora" with Book Club Buddie D. I love the author and I realy wanted to introduce her to our reading pile. D. was very impressed and so I can safely move us on to the second book in that series :-) I had forgotten how small the first book was.

I hated the first two chapters so much, they are meant to show how much of a desirable, cocky, toppy, pickup master playgirl who doesn't get attached the main character is, and it was everything I hate about the emulation of men picking up women that a lot of fiction depicts (and that happens in real life too ofc). There's also the whole "you'll lock eyes with a stranger and just know" view of love that is both unrealistic and unhealthy. I also hated the chapters where .
Also, everything happens really fast, before they realize who they are and break up, followed by a few glossed-over weeks or months of wallowing, and a resolution in one paragraph in the epilogue – I mean the grand final gesture to get the girl back is longer but I wanted to see way more of the families coming around to it, and the book certainly had the space for it.
I did appreciate that the whole story was from one point of view only, as I usually feel it makes things more interesting and add depth. I would have preferred the love interest's POV I think, but I didn't hate the MC. I also felt there were genuine feelings at time (as much as they were unrealistically fast to develop) and I appreciated the communication and honesty between them (as much as it felt unrealistically open and clear – both to themselves and to each other, especially with the MC having never been in a relationship ever, and not ever having had any desire to even try until she met her LI).
So this all felt way too soulmate-y and fanfiction-y, but I did find the obstacle to their romance believable and more valid than usual (even if the resolution is a bit easy and fast). And I am not opposed to seeing if future work by this author steps away from what I consider problems there.

she picks up a random American to try and forget about the star-crossed love of her life that just falls back on that pattern, and then, after deciding it best that they don't sleep together, they still masturbate in front of each other while thinking of their respective exes who broke their hearts, for no apparent reason other than "it will help us" (how? 🤔)Also, everything happens really fast,
