Merry is ready to celebrate another magical Christmas in her home town of Rudolph, New York and business at her store is booming. However, Luanne arrives to throw everything into chaos. Merry had agreed to style Luanne's wedding in July, but she's just informed her that she's moved the wedding up. To February! But when the fiance turns up dead and Merry's brother is the number one suspect, Merry finds herself in the middle of yet another murder investigation.

I enjoy a good cozy mystery and I like this series. I love getting ARCs, but reading about Christmas in June isn't my favorite, but we do what we must! I have at least 3 more Christmas-themed books coming up in my queue soon. Anyway, about this one... I definitely enjoyed it. I was glad someone in one of these books finally called out a store owner for constantly abandoning her business to go off sleuthing. Especially here, Merry leaves the store on two of the busiest shopping days, Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas, where she runs a Christmas shop in a Christmas town!

I really like the author’s Sherlock Holmes Bookshop Mystery series, so last Christmas I read all of this series too. It was ok, though not as good as the other series. I give up with this book though. The bride in the book is intolerable.

I received an ARC from NetGalley.

Merry Wilkinson, owner of a year-round Christmas store in Rudolph, New York, used to be a director at the Marthat Stewart-like magazine Jennifer's Lifestyle, so naturally she's the person to turn to when her former classmate Luanne Ireland needs help planning her wedding -- whether Merry is interested or not. However, when Luanne's fiance is killed, Merry's brother (Luanne's high school sweetheart) is the prime suspect, leading her to investigate further.

As seems to be popular in cozy mysteries, Merry is frequently surrounded by wacky and crazy people. She's good at managing people, thankfully. The characters are fun, the Christmas setting adds a festive element to the story, and the mystery was intriguing. All in all, a great continuation of a fun series.

Pg: 293

Series: A Year Round Christmas mystery book 5

Genre: Cozy Mystery

Rating: 4 stars

Dying in a Winter Wonderland is the fifth book in the A Year Round Christmas mystery series by Vicki Delany. I enjoy this series set in a year round Christmas town. Mattie the Saint Bernard is my favorite character in this series. I’ve enjoyed watching him grow from a puppy into slightly bigger puppy.

Since it’s a Christmas town sitting you can read this book at any time not just at Christmas time if you need a Christmas pick up. And as always I look forward to the next book in the series.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher through netgalley. I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.

Never in my life would I have realized that Christmas mixed so well with mystery novels if not for this book! The mystery was very intriguing and there were parts that you would just laugh while you kept on guessing on who really done it.
