Matt Steele is the hero we need, not the one we deserve. This book is a great political thriller with lots of intrigue and suspense. It wouldn't be politics without scandals and skeletons in the closet. The protagonist must make a choice between the politically expedient and the morally correct. With a well written plot and dialogue, the pages practically turn themselves. A very enjoyable read.

Presidential candidate Matt Steele could be the White House occupant we all wish for, running a strong campaign with a platform the country sorely needs. An adversary falls due to a scandal. The last challenger is drooling for similar dirt on Steele. Then Steele's past comes back to meet him in a way he never imagined, via a photograph and a stranger. In a time when an honest candidate is almost a myth, Steele has the option of being true to his past, or saving his political career, but who will be hurt in the process? An enjoyable read that will renew your sense of patriotism. Just what we need in times like these.
