Marcus Aurelius journal inspired me to continue to be a better human and it’s heartwarming to see that a Emperor like him considers himself a philosopher first and a emperor second. There’s a lot of things that Marcus’s journal resonates with me particularly about getting up from bed and also the bees and the beehive quotes. It’s truly inspiring and insightful read and I was intimidated to read this book but I’m glad that I did.

There is talks about death and the afterlife. To those that are Atheist, keep in mind that Marcus believes in the gods and that nature, world nature, Zeus and the gods are tied to explain how the world works.axeles's review against another edition
