The book tackles an important topic, the urge to take things without asking, and it can feel like an uncontrollable urge, but the main character of David was just unappealing to me. Here he knew what he was doing was wrong but he did it anyway. There are a few glimpses of remorse (and he does make it right by the end of the book), but I still found the character unlikable, not someone to root for at all.
