I absolutely adored this book. Amy Lane creates a world that is fun and scary at the same time. The characters in this world are so sweet and so lost that they need outside help.
Alex is just trying to keep his head above water with the whole magic thing as well as the crush on his boss.
Simon wants to be considered cool and amazing but his encounters and his own crush on Alex fail at every turn and it’s absolutely hilarious. But he’s a good man and he wants to help Alex with whatever he needs And that’s when the magic happens. (Literally, haha)
Their romance is amazingly sweet and romantic. Lane’s depiction of demisexual is smooth and doesn’t shine a negative light as most books can and I appreciated it so much.
I loved this book and I cannot wait to see what happens next.
