A heartbreaking story that leaves you wanting nothing but good for the Nikki, Sami and Tori. Heartbreaking read, written so beautifully

Don’t really subscribe to the sort of morbidity of heavily following true crime but this was a book club pick!
The very unfortunate circumstances of this book are what keep the reader reading but the writing is incredibly okay. Reads like a snippet for a show on the ID channel. There is also just an overwhelming feeling of major details being left out.

I randomly picked this bc it had audio so I could listen while I drive and it was on amazon charts. I thought it would be an inspirational story ab overcoming hardships but not really. I thought the abuse would subside and the plot would turn more into a trial or the girls overcoming their mom, but it just kept going. Each part of the book was a different person getting manipulated broken by this women and at 85% it was still going. It makes it even worse that this is a true story and this women was so cruel. It wasn’t until the last chapter she’s arrested and justice is served wtf.
