This is a beautifully written short story about two cowboys in Wyoming. If you watched the film, it stuck very closely to the original short story. Quotes from the film are taken directly from the book. Definitely a great quick read if you loved the film.

I don’t know how I feel about this short little story. I think I had too high of expectations for it honestly, but it made me mad … which I consider a good thing bc I love when books make me feel any genuine emotion soooo idk I give it a 3.5 — entertaining but nothing of real substance came out of it for me personally

A beautifully written short story. I had to get used to the southern accent lol, but I really liked it. On the other hand I feel like this book almost suffers from being a short story. I really wish we had more time to get to know the characters and to see them and their relationship develop. Some parts felt really sudden now, which is understandable but also kind of a pity.
I haven't seen the movie yet, but I am very excited to watch it, as I feel like I might like it even more.
