I struggled through this one a little bit. I’ll be honest, my reading choices are rarely series and/or fantasy. So, I knew going into it I might have a hard time. The amount of detail and thought that goes into the world of middle earth is nothing short of amazing. I can see where this book hits the mark for many, but it was not my cup of tea.

I’ve attempted to read this book a multitude of times. For whatever reason, Tolkien had always been an author I could never get behind. I decided I’d give him another try as I hadn’t had anything else to read and I’m so glad I did. This book was amazing and I enjoyed so much while I was reading it.
