Woof this was boring. Very repetitive, not very entertaining or interesting characters, and a boring plot. It was fun at first but quickly dwindled off into a bland story.

Fun collection of investigative stories set in a fantasy world. All stories could be read individually where they have shared characters or not. Sometimes felt a bit jumpy from scene to scene but kept the narrative moving.
All in all an enjoyable collection of the first few stories in the Fairlady series.

I enjoyed this a lot, from the weird setting to the main characters. The episodic mystery style was interesting, and my only real complaint is that I wanted more Oanu.

I really liked the premise of this book but I found it hard to follow. The time jumps weren’t my cup of tea, and I felt the characterization wasn’t very well fleshed out. The stories jumped around too quickly and I wasn’t really attached to any of the characters (except a giant burly cat who did not appear enough!)

Loved this issue 1 of Fairlady. Great artwork and an intriguing story line.

Pretty good. I felt like the stories got weaker as they went on. It almost felt like they were trying too hard to be oblique that it was just unsatisfying. Interesting but flawed.

The art is appealing and the plot lines held my attention. I especially appreciated the way the format consisted of a series of self contained stories that linked into an overall arc but could also be read separately as it allows the graphic novel to be read in tidy bursts within time constraints.

Unfortunately, I did not connect to the main protagonist and her partner quite as strongly as I have to other characters of other series. This may be because the focus in the book was more on their investigatory process while the main character is pretty swiftly introduced to us and then quite drily and pragmatically gets on with things. She and her Oanu partner (not calling him a feline!) do often have this bit of a sardonic wit, which is fun, but I kind of wish there was more detail in this area, more story.

This is, sadly, an incredibly average comic. There's nothing unique to its plots, to the world it presents, and to the characters it features. The self-contained "detective" stories seem fun for an issue or two but the problems with these become apparent pretty quick. It's hard to get invested in a 24-page mystery when the conclusion is either obvious or impossible to guess and it's even harder to care about the characters at the center of these stories when they're one-off appearances with no real emotional weight to them. It's sad to see the concept fail but it's not like it was the most novel idea to begin with.
