Comunque se dovessi morire sarei felice che il mio gattino mi mangiasse gli occhi, mi piacciono i gattini Ciccioni

Fun, informative, and surprisingly light for a book about what happens after we die.

I pre-ordered this book when it was first announced and then proceeded to grab Caitlin's previous books to read through them. This is my favorite book out of hers so far. This book features questions that have been asked to her and her very informative responses to these questions. The illustrations were so nice and it was very informational! It was very interesting what questions were asked and I was glad to know quite a bit already from reading her previous books and by also watching Caitlin's YouTube channel, 'Ask a Mortician'. I easily breezed through this book in 2 days and I wish there was more.

We all have questions about life's mysteries and Doughty answers the toughest ones in a way that is easy to understand and comforting with a sense of morbid humor. I've been a fan of hers since "Smoke" and this most recent delivery was a great addition to death positive literature.

Overview:
Will my Cat Eat my Eyeballs? is a book that talks about death with questions coming from kids. This book talks about a wide-range of questions such as, Why do we turn colours when we die? Can someone donate blood after they die? And so many more amazing questions.
Thoughts:
I have been talking about this book to ANYONE I get the chance too. Because I love this book SO much.
Where do I begin. Caitlin Doughty (the author) and Dianné Ruz (the illustrator) did an amazing job on this book. I loved the humor that this book had even when the topic of this book was about death. The illustrations were genius and beautiful and at points I was amazed at the creativity that came with them.
I loved Caitlin Doughty's humor and the whole book made me smile and laugh.
I learned a lot about death and I think it is important because it happens to all of us.
Thank you to all who made this book possible. (:
Just a little shout out to the necrophages who help compose dead things. Very appreciative of you. You little guys do a lot of hard and delicate work.

I love Caitlin's writing and voice. She always makes death feel the right level of educational, understandable, gross, and totally-normal-this-is-actually-not-gross. She answered some great questions and the illustrations were a nice added touch.

I think I'm in the minority here, but I did not find this oversimplified and, bonus, it gave me some spooky nightmares. I definitely could not have handled learning about the desanguination of dogs as a child, and I regret that I can't now burn the information from my memory. I thought this would be fun and lighthearted but it really felt inappropriate for young readers.
