Despite being set at Christmas, this book is not very Christmassy, so I was a little bummed by that, though I did enjoy the story of this book more than the first in the series. Zephyr was a little more mature and didn’t have as many moments where she didn’t know what her human friends were talking about.

I was a little disappointed that the book skipped from the winter solstice right to New Year’s Eve without mentioning Christmas at all.

And somehow when I read the synopsis that zephyr was an elf, I got it in my mind that she and her family were Santa’s elves....but I guess they’re more woodland elves?

Overall enjoyable, but I wished it had been more Christmassy.
