A melhor política diz-nos ele, está em “atacar os planos do inimigo” e a segunda será o desfazer-lhe as alianças, já que “vencer o exército adversário sem o combater é o apogeu da arte”.

Hm I found it interesting despite not being my cup of tea. Not really sure what to rate it so I won’t. Feel like it could be applied to life as well “appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak” “one may know how to conquer without being able to do it” “if you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself, but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy of yourself you will succumb in every battle”

Uno de esos libros que está bien leer una vez en la vida ya que el contenido no envejece, pero bastante sobrevalorado.

Reflexiones breves, sin más.

This was interesting. I can completely understand how it became a classic - it is basically a read on humanity. When to fight, when to retreat, how to get all the possible advantages over your enemy, and how to make sure your side is protected.

Sure, it was written with the literal war in mind - and war as it was in 1400, but it can absolutely be used as a guide to manipulation in general.

The translation is so easy to read it made me check 3 times if I wasn't reading some abridged version, but no, it is apparently just really simple and to the point.

I'm only not rating this higher because most of what was written is kind of obvious. Don't get me wrong, there are some good insights, but not much of it really made me stop and think about it.

Also, I gotta say, as a fantasy reader, I'm just even more proud of my favorite authors, because Sun Tzu has nothing on them.
