I recently got a Kindle and 3 months free KU so obviously when I saw TJR included in the sub I had to pick up! This 90 page epistolary short story follows a man and a woman who realise their spouses are cheating on them after finding their written correspondence. I think, after my recent reads,
Spoiler I am so over the idea that for women being a mother is an innate happy ending,
so while I liked this the end left a sour taste in my mouth. It felt quite cheap for TJR...
Spoiler "I left my husband and I'm pregnant with your baby after we slept together once!"

Fast paced short story. Great read for me. I love books that have different characters pov for chapters. I really felt for the characters in the book. I felt awful for one and I hated another. This book was a rollercoaster and the ending was a bit of a surprise for me.

Ok I can see the hype around her writing. Twist at the end was good but kind of predictable.

I like the formatting of the story as well.

i hate that it ended with carrie getting pregnant. an unnecessary plot twist at the end that we don’t get to see play out and it annoys me

I was prepared to be disappointed in how this ended, and I ended up loving it.
