High school romantic comedy with a twist. Despite the humor, both main characters are dealing with serious issues with their family and self-confidence. Ryuji's father is in prison and his mother is a high school dropout who makes ends meet working in a bar. Taiga's family is wealthy but they neglect her. The charm of this story is in the great balance the author keeps between the comedic and serious elements of the story.

自分の初漫画としては凄いだと思う。そもそもこの物語アニメ化のを見てて大好きで、漫画とライトノベルも読もうと思っている。

To be honest, while I wouldn't say I avoid boy/girl romances like the plague, I'm not usually that interested in stories like that. Toradora! is an exception to that rule, though - it's a really cute and funny romantic comedy that I found immensely entertaining.
