Lucky is on fire right now, performing and scaling the K-pop charts. She is getting ready to attend a late night show in the U.S., which will hopefully boost her career as an artist, but right before that happens, she gets wrapped up in a whirlwind of an adventure. Enter Jack, a photographer for a tabloid, and he stumbles upon Lucky after her latest performance leaving a hotel (for a hamburger). The two eventually spend the following day together - Lucky getting a break from her crazy everyday norm and Jack spotting an angle at a possible story about this popular K-pop star. There is some deceiving going on between the two, reminding you of a Kdrama, but the chemistry between the two is very obvious and the way it shows throughout the book is very sweet. However, there were times I wanted to scream at Jack for some of his actions, but he was *mostly* redeemed at the end 👍❤️ There were also some topics and conversations that were brought up between the characters and that was great to see, as they dived deep into wanting to understand one another and to boost confidence levels in each other and their passions. And…now I’m really hungry after reading about all of the delicious food mentioned 😋 I really liked this novel by Maurene Goo and plan on checking out her other titles.
