This book was SO progressive considering it was written in the 1800s?!

Mary Shelley! Mother of Sci-fi ❤️❤️

Nature vs nurture. An absolute classic. Why were we brought in this world and if we aren't loved when we are then what becomes of us? A monster born of rejection and abandonment, cruelty born from resentment towards the actions of the father. The Monster may have been born labelled as such, but it the sins of the father that make him one.

This book definitely makes one think. I feel so sorry for the poor monster, but I cannot help feeling that I would have acted just the same if I had run into him. It's sad that we humans judge others because of how they look.
I only give it 3 stars because, even though I think the writing is excellent, I found it too wordy for my taste. But I can't believe this was written by a 18 year old!

Another classic I didn't think I'd like, but I really enjoyed! I read this physically and listened to the audio book (narriation is fantastic and it's included in your audible subscription!). For being written so long ago, I was engaged in this book from start to finish! It makes me want to make my way through some classics I thought might be droll and boring!
