Grover found two new half-bloods with the slightest idea of whoever their parents was until Percy figured them out at the end. A monster captured the new half bloods and Percy and with a help, they managed to escape. Percy had nightmares and it’s not a good dream when it showed him his captured friend and plans of sacrifices to the evil being. Percy felt guilty and that he must go and save his friend. Then, the oracle has prophesied and once again, Percy and the rest set on a journey to save their friend. On a journey, series of challenges crossed path with them but they received helps from gods along the way. For all they know, the evil side was getting stronger and stronger and approving the previous prophecy. While the gods on Mount Olympus was fully acknowledged about it and prepare for the impending war. But the previous prophecy has made Percy one of the dangerous children of elder gods but in the end, the gods has voted and spared Percy’s life.

My least favourite of the series. At the time where I'm writing this, I don't remember what happens. However, this should not deter anyone from reading this series. It was overall still enjoyable and sets up the last two books really well.

As per usual, Percy Jackson is a fun read that brings me so much joy!!
I loved the way Percy's leadership is challenged in this book and he is made to try and learn to lead and trust others. This was greag to see, as he is known to be very impulsive at times. But in saying that, he still stays true to himself and trusts his gut. I also love how Percy is a character who would do anything for those he cares about and is unafraid to stand up to authority. And you see more of this as he continues to challenge Ares but also adding Atlas to the list.
We also saw development in seeing him willing to ask Mr. D for help, even though it destroys his pride. It's nice though, as it shows he is willing to put any relations aside to protect others.
It was nice to see more of the Olympians and Titans being introduced and their interactions with the hereos. And in this book we see a more human side of Poseidon as he defends Percy.
