A lot of what I understand about racism comes pre-filtered through a largely American historical and cultural lens. Therefore, to reckon with with how racism presents in the UK was revelatory.
However, contrary to what the title suggest, this book is aimed at white people. Or at least at people of all races who seem to think that racism is a relic of the past. So it didn't bring anything entirely novel to the table for me but it did excel at providing a litany of fine-tuned arguments and rebuttals against racism that I will now add to my arsenal.
It's a must read for anyone who isn't well-versed in racism/ critical race theory and is too uncomfortable to ask their token brown/black friend to explain.

Absolutely fantastic book; it is so well written and accessible. I have learned so much about the racism that exists in Britain (especially when other books are largely American-centric) and about the structures in place that benefit white people. Everyone should read this book.

I find non fiction hard to follow but the writing style of this was relatively easy for me to keep up with. Very informative, and I found the chapters about class and feminism particularly insightful.
