I love some of Lucy Score’s other work but the last two I’ve picked up have just been a bit disappointing. This was too long for no reason, the FMC was basically “I’m not like other girls” and almost all other women were poorly portrayed, and this had too much going on and the wedding wasn’t even 30% of the book.

What you expect..cute and over the top

Aiden is to good to be true and Frankie is a tough cookie. You have to accept the fantasy that a strong woman like Frankie is okay with being in a fleeting relationship in order to enjoy the rest of the book. It has vibes of Maggie moves on but with a stunning rich man. Smile through the cheesy and enjoy love!

Another perfect 4 stars from Ms. Score

I need to stop doubting that even though the subject matter doesn't seem to be my thing, that the book won't interest me. If Score writes it, I love it. This book was delightful. Frankie and Aiden were great together. They were definitely a trope--billionaire and mere peasant--but written in a refreshing way.

Aiden wasn't a stalker. He may have wanted to pay for things because he has the money, but he didn't push it, over the top. Frankie may have wanted to stand on her own two feet, but she gave in enough to let Aiden spoil her a little.

I loved the scenes dealing with the kidnapping. I laughed so hard. I absolutely adored Frankie's brothers relationship with Aiden. They let him right in, and he was so starved for that "normal". They made him part of their family, regardless of Frankie, and that just melted me.

Great story. Well-written characters. Perfect blend of sweet and funny.
I always love books by this author, and yet again, Ms. Score did not disappoint.

A 3.5 star but rounded up…
The beginning almost lost me, I didn’t like the plot and it felt super cheesy. It almost felt like a whole different book. The last 75% was soooo good though! I love Lucy Score’s characters!

DNF @30% If I’ve given a book this many days and I’m forcing myself to continue, it’s not a good book. The kidnapped groom plot is dumb. I kept losing interest and re-reading passages over and over again. I just don’t think this one is for me. ⭐️⭐️

The swoony snarkiest messiest love story

I loved Frankie and Aidan’s opposites attract, enemies to lovers, class differences, snarky love story with a side of social machinations. In my opinion for an enemies to lovers story to work, the author has to straddle a fine line of sexy animosity without tipping into meanness or abuse. The author does a wonderful job straddling that line in this book and allowing the animosity to change organically into something else. Frankie is from Brooklyn. She’s the daughter of deli owners and she’s working on her MBA while also working two jobs. Aidan is a millionaire and the CEO of his family’s company. They meet when they are the best man and maid of honor for their best friends’ wedding. As Frankie and Aidan journey to their HEA you’ll feel all the feels - laughing, crying, swooning, cringing, teeth gritting, and cheering. The story included sweet moments, steamy scenes, snort worthy laughs, supportive friends, messy families, painful pasts, and heart squeezing love all told with witty dialogue, three dimensional characters who grow, and an engaging storyline.
