Kinky smut, but the pregnancy aspect turned me off. I also think that the lines of consent are VERY blurred here, with vampire bites pretty much acting as drugs...

The plot was… quite thin (which is fine; it’s erotica), but at the same time, I don’t want to have to deal with random world-building in my smut.

This book was like a big, embarrassing, fanfiction of every piece of vampire media that's ever been popular in mainstream culture. It was a spicy novel Frankenstein-ed to death with plot devices from other vampire books and movies. I can't say that I did not enjoy it in, it was certainly spicy and that is definitely one thing that I can say that this author writes well. The rest of it... the characters and plot specifically? Lazy. Everything that happened aside form the spice was conveniently wedged in to justify every fantastical thought the author dreamed up. I understand that it's a fantasy and there is a measure of suspended disbelief required but if an author is going to set a book like this in the real world, they should attempt to make it at least a little bit realistic. The main character was nothing special, typical erotica protagonist archetype. Questionable parentage, daughters of a prominent figure, unidentified powers, ends up being more important than everyone thought, etc. Also everything that went wrong she blamed on herself and that felt gross to me. Overall, it was.... fun and the writing was baseline fine. Nothing special and not life changing.

If you are looking for a super spicy MMMF vampire/supernatural story with the absolute thinnest possible plot stringing together explicit sex scenes then this is the book for you!

I cannot in good conscience give this higher than 2 stars because the closest we get to a plot across 500-ish pages is:
Mina’s father hates her and gives her to a sexy vampire stuck in his house as a blood source and sex toy. Two other sexy vampires show up. She breaks the ward on the house with a powerful orgasm to allow them all to leave because she’s actually part seraph. They’re on the run and bonded together. Her father captures the vampires. She meets a monster hunter who makes a deal with a demon to free them. She gets pregnant and kills her father, making her the new leader of their vampire clan.

But it is very sexy and sometimes that’s all you need. Serious content warnings (see below) although I think anyone with these triggers can read the summary and know this isn’t for them.

Content warnings:
Blood, Gore, Injury Detail
Three of the characters are vampires so this is self explanatory. They fight, the share blood, etc.

Murder
Mina brings 3 men to the vampires for them to feed on after their escape from her father, Mina murders her father

Pregnancy
The trio and Mina are actively trying to get her pregnant so she can become her father’s heir, she does become pregnant but there’s no graphic birth scenes

Rape
This is mostly dubious consent at the beginning, there’s a scene where Mina goes to a bar looking for people to feed the 3 vampires and some men drug her drink in an attempt to sexually assault her but she only pretends to be drugged and knocks them out to bring them to the vampires

Sexual Content
Duh

Violence
See: blood, gore, injury detail & murder

Vomit
morning sickness

I wouldn’t say this book was life-changing, by any means…but the characters were fun and the smut was good. Solid read if you’re looking for a blush-worthy vampire romance!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️.5
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Tropes: Reverse harem, MMMF, Forced proximity,
POV: Single - Mina

Unfortunately I did not enjoy this one 😔. Essentially this whole book was just page after page of vampire smut. Essentially this was 80% smut 20% plot at best. But if Katee Robert knows one thing it is definitely writing some good smut.

A paranormal reverse harem romance combining all three novellas in the Bloodline Vampire series. This in turn lead to quite a bit of repetition when we moved through the three acts.

Mina is a dhampir, meaning she is half human, half vampire with no magic of her own. She is a complete disgrace to her Father and as such she is sent away by her to live with Malachi Zion, a bloodline vampire, and produce an heir to his slowly dwindling bloodline.

Shortly after Wolf and Rylan, two more bloodline vampires enter the mix and Mina becomes their everything. Their new mission is to take down Mina’s power hungry Father, impregnate her and crown her the Queen.

This novel is steamy don’t get me wrong. Robert knows how to write some awesome smutty scenes but that is all it really was for me. The little plot that was woven through this felt wayyy too farfetched for me and I just couldn’t get passed that. I found myself skimming paragraphs and that isn’t something I normally do.

⚠️ Content Warnings: Dubious consent, blood play, breeding, abusive parent (Father), patricide, pregnancy, blood, gore, murder, explicit sex, vomiting (cause pregnancy), discussions about abortion, attempted sexual assault, attempted drugging.

I would have enjoyed this quick read even more without all of the spice. I liked the characters and their story, and I’m interested in Azazel and Grace.
