Yes, yes, yes! I book-talked this one at work like crazy when it came out, but it's time for the official review. Jaxon's mom drops him off at Ma's house. She's not his grandma, so who is she? And what's moving inside the package she just got? Next thing he knows, he's traveling through worlds trying to save baby dragons. This book is fun and exciting with likable (DIVERSE!!!) characters. The second one better be coming soon

With Dragons in a Bag, Elliot offers up a fun and magical fantasy adventure for kids that also weaves in questions of what it means to grow up and find yourself in a world that doesn't always make sense and rarely offers easy answers.

A fun adventure story set in modern day Brooklyn. The premise makes for an interesting story, but it gets a little lost by the end.
Spoiler
it ends on a cliffhanger, with several loose ends to be tied up and several characters that are introduced but not followed up on.Minor: Racism

I read this with my daughter. It was really good. We're looking forward to the sequel.
