Following immediately on for the previous book you don't stop running.  Alex Cross has barely time to take a breath, he is once again looking for a viscious serial killer.

That is how the book starts, fast pased and the action never ends.  Mix in some heartbreak, frustration, disappointment and eventually success and you have an unputdownable book.

My heart was racing for most of the book - I HATE Jeremy he can rot. I was so satisfied with the mix of me screaming NOOOOOO to a murder and HELL YEA for the detectives

As usual, Patterson does not disappoint. Alex and his family go on vacation when disaster strikes, and he is enmeshed in an investigation that will keep you turning pages. One of my favorite things is that we see the story not only from Alex's point of view, but also from the perp's, kinda, and it's somehow fascinating! The way he gets into the mind of the killer...freaky! Page turner!
