I loved this one! I wasn’t sure I would once I realized the main characters aren’t actually Valetti’s, but the connection was great and tied together perfectly. I do wish there was a clearer timeline of how much time passed between 2 and 3

Idk how I am unironically now reading this entire series.
This was so dark and messed up, but I was kind of on the edge of my seat reading this at first.
Kane was probably better than both Vince and Dom. But I was like unnecessarily confused by his backstory, it wasn’t explained super well.
It tapered off a little for me, but I did like part of the ending (i.e. Ava actually getting help for her trauma) and I liked that the plot of this book felt different enough from books 1 and 2. But honestly, every book has ended the exact same and it’s a little tiring.

So this one was good. But neither of the main characters is a Valetti. This book could have been a spin off to the Valetti series.
Some parts felt rushed, but it still worked. The PTSD I should have anticipated, but didn’t. I’m not sure it helped the story at all or just prolonged the story until you got to the “happily ever after”.
Left a cliff hanger at the end with one of the Valetti familia, which obviously leads to the next book in the series.
