The Burroughs family run an empire built on moonshine, marijuana, meth, and guns on Bull Mountain (northeast Georgia). 3 generations go unchecked until special agent Holly of the ATF shows up in Bull Mountain.

This is a dark but thrilling book that jumps back and forth between 3 generations of backwoods gangsters. Fun read!

A Frankenstein's monster of disjointed, stitched-together clichés masquerading as a coherent novel.

I read this on a flight and it went very quickly. I was hesitant when I read the description and saw that it jumped voices and times but everything worked together well and wasn't jarring.

4.5 stars. Essentially a story of revenge. Definitely a grittier read than I typically like, but so well-written I ended up enjoying it despite profanity and occasional gore.
