Huh. Certainly good. With simple but effective art. But the twist at the end I just didn't quite appreciate. And I'm thinking the idea of layaway is a good one to know.

Another wordless story, great illustrations, but I'm not as sure about the story itself.

A beautifully illustrated, wordless, children's picture book about hard work, persistence, compassion, and generosity. Just lovely.

Beautiful wordless picture book and a great book to use to discuss character - love how responsible, hard-working and selfless the girl is!

So sweet...and I love the connection to The Boy and the Airplane (watch closely for it) which made even more impact for me. A strong addition to the wordless picture book collection.

Really lovely story of persistence and kindness. It is wonderful to "read" these with my 4 year old. The best part is when it is her turn to tell the story.

I was drawn to the bicycle in the window: it's similar to a bike the daughter owned. Turns out the book is as pretty as The Boy and the Airplane, but this one has a lesson more familiar and as nostalgic: generosity is as rewardable as hard-work.
