I somehow forgot what a wonderful, life affirming series Yotsuba is until I read the latest volume. I love the chapters with Yotsuba and her grandmother. I really enjoy getting to see how Yotsuba is growing up and the family she has around her. I wish this series came out at a quicker pace but I don't really mind, since every installment is a treasure worth waiting for.

That moment between Yotsuba and her grandma made me cry. So precious.

After watching Yotsuba interact with her grandmother, I am curious to see what her grandfather is like.

As usual, Yotsuba makes the mundane fun. After reading this, I actually felt like cleaning things.... But let's not get carried away. Still, it's good to see how her family harnesses Yotsuba's energy and imagination to get her to do things or make things more fun for her (and possibly for themselves).

It's nice to see the world from Yotsuba's perspective. It's a little infectious, too.

There is never enough Yotsuba in the world. Never. I will never grow tired of it.

We start with Yotsuba coming from camping, with souvenirs for everyone. And then we meet Grandma. There’s lots of adorableness to be had here. There’s preparation and excitement, and then Grandma teaches Yotsuba all kinds of things. Like cleaning, as Grandma pesters her father about it all. Yotsuba tries very hard to be a good helper, and she’s so cute.

There’s also a learning moment, when Grandma has to leave. Yotsuba throws a fit, but Grandma and her dad stay strong, they don’t give in, and she’s forced to accept it. And say goodbye, and then be a kid again and move forward.

Every volume of this series is a delight and I love it all to pieces. I will always want more, but re-reads are also very fun.

As usual Yotasuba's adventure are the cutest!
This volume centers around her relationship with her stern grandma. I loved that character and the values she tries to teach Yotsuba, it was very sweet.
Can't wait for the next installment.
