The book is essentially a collection of stories about an ethnocrntric, misogynistic teacher going to different countries where he drinks, does acid, tries to coerce women into sleeping with him, and endlessly complains about whatever country he is in. Some of the things he says are absolutely repulsive and it's really sad to think that there are people like this who consider themselves "professional" English teachers.
Only gave it one star because it's oddly inspirational: if a loser like this guy can travel the world and make a living doing it, why can't I?
